About Regnbågsstiftelsen
Regnbågsstiftelsen is an independent foundation established by Jonas Gardell with the purpose of providing long-term support for Regnbågsfonden’s work to advance the rights and freedoms of LGBTQ+ people.
The foundation receives and manages larger gifts and donations. Its capital is invested for the long term as restricted capital, and only the ongoing returns are used to support Regnbågsfonden and its work. The principal remains with the foundation.
This structure complements Regnbågsfonden, which is a fundraising foundation where funds raised are intended to be used continuously for its purpose rather than accumulated as long-term capital.
In short: Regnbågsfonden makes a difference today. Regnbågsstiftelsen creates the conditions for it to continue making a difference tomorrow.

What does the Rainbow Foundation do?
The Rainbow Foundation works for a world where everyone has the same democratic rights and freedoms regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The Rainbow Foundation finances projects and organizations in countries where LGBTQI people are discriminated against, persecuted and killed. The Rainbow Foundation also works with impact projects in Sweden in collaboration with other organizations.
