Reporting Corruption and Misconduct
The Rainbow Foundation has zero tolerance for corruption and other forms of misconduct.
Misconduct may include, but is not limited to, bribery, embezzlement or fraud, conflicts of interest/nepotism, improper benefits, extortion, or the deliberate concealment of financial irregularities. If you are unsure whether something constitutes misconduct, we still encourage you to report it.
We want everyone who comes into contact with our work to feel safe reporting concerns — and we take all reports seriously.
HOW TO REPORT
Matters concerning staff at the Secretariat or the Rainbow Foundation’s international partner organisations should be reported to the Secretary General (SG).
If the report concerns the SG or a member of the Board, it should be reported to the Chair of the Board.
If the report concerns the Chair of the Board, it should be reported to a designated Board member.
Reports can be made in writing or verbally.
When reporting, please provide as much information as possible about:
· what happened,
· when and where it occurred,
· who is involved,
· any supporting documentation.

CONFIDENTAL REPORTING
Regnbågsfonden does not currently have a system for fully anonymous reporting. If you wish your report to be kept strictly between you and the receiving party at first, please state this clearly at the beginning of your message or conversation. The receiving party will respect this and will not share identifying information with others in the organisation during the initial stage.
Please be aware that in order to investigate and address a report effectively, the receiving party may at some point need to involve others — for example, other board members or external advisors. If and when that becomes necessary, you will be informed in advance. Identifying information will not be shared with the person or persons the report concerns.
PROTECTION AGAINST RETALIATION
Anyone reporting in good faith shall not be subject to retaliation. We handle reports promptly and confidentially to the extent possible.
If you experience retaliation related to a report, please inform the Chair of the Board immediately (or another Board member if the Chair is concerned). We take such situations very seriously and address them in accordance with our procedures.
