The Rainbow Foundation works for a world where everyone has the same democratic rights and freedoms regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity. The Rainbow Foundation finances projects and organizations in countries where LGBTQI people are discriminated against, persecuted and killed. The Rainbow Foundation also works with impact projects in Sweden in collaboration with other organizations.
How was the Rainbow Foundation founded?
The Rainbow Foundation was founded in 2013 by Arto Winter, Jonas Gardell and Jon Voss in connection with a collection to oppose the death penalty law in Uganda.
How is the Rainbow Foundation financed?
The Rainbow Foundation's work is made possible thanks to gifts and contributions from private individuals, companies and foundations.
How do I know the money is going where it should?
Rainbow Foundation holds a 90-account and is a member of Giva Sweden and has been awarded the Safe Giving label. Every year, we report how collected funds have been used to the Fundraising code and report on Giva Sweden's quality code, which checks that the collection takes place efficiently and transparently.
