LGBTQI activists are being arrested. Organizations are being dismantled. Now they need our help.
In recent days, Turkey’s LGBTQI community has faced widespread raids and crackdowns. Offices have been searched, digital equipment confiscated, and websites and social media accounts blocked.
More than 200 people have been detained, including LGBTQI activists.
Regnbågsfonden’s partner SPoD is among the organizations affected. Several LGBTQI and HIV organizations are also at risk of being dissolved. Activists need legal assistance, protection, and the possibility to evacuate if the situation becomes too dangerous.
That’s why Regnbågsfonden is launching an emergency fund for LGBTQI activists and organizations in Turkey.
We need to be able to act quickly when someone needs a lawyer. When an activist needs to be brought to safety.
When an organization needs to protect its staff or safeguard its operations.
This is happening now. We cannot afford to wait.
Your donation can make the difference between standing alone and getting help when it is needed most.

Organizations’ offices have been searched, digital equipment confiscated, and websites and social media accounts blocked. Authorities have also announced that proceedings to dissolve several LGBTQI and HIV organizations will be initiated. Regnbågsfonden’s partner SPoD is among the organizations affected.
